The history of humanity is filled with oppression, dominance, war, and slavery. Since the beginning of time, people in different parts of the world have forced their fellow humans into slavery.

The tale of the Atlantic Slave Trade is the history of millions of Africans who were forced out of their communities by European slave traders and shipped across the Atlantic in conditions of great cruelty.

In this video, we dive into the deep and complex internal cultural differences among Black Americans throughout history. From the earliest days of colonial America to the post-Revolutionary War era, we explore the various factors that have shaped these distinctions, including:

Urbanization and regional distribution
Education and economic achievements
Rates of crime and acculturation
The significant divide between free and enslaved Blacks

Key historical milestones highlighted include:

The presence of free Blacks as early as the 17th century, even before slavery was formally established.
The evolution from indentured servitude to perpetual slavery starting in 1661.
The rise of notable free Black individuals and communities who achieved remarkable cultural and educational advancements long before the majority of Blacks were free or literate.
The impact of the American Revolution on the population of free Blacks, leading to significant increases in the northern states and even parts of the South.
The geographical shifts in the Black population following the invention of the cotton gin in 1793.

Join us as we uncover the stories of influential Black figures like Gustavus Vassa and Benjamin Banneker and examine how their contributions reflect the broader cultural advancements within the Black community. This historical journey provides a deeper understanding of the diverse and dynamic cultural landscape among Black Americans.

How The US Government Destroyed Black Families (Documentary)

It’s no secret. Fatherless households are more common in the Black community. A survey from the American consensus institution revealed that 67% of Black children under 18 in the U.S. live in homes without fathers. This is a stark contrast to White children, as only 24% of them live in fatherless homes.

But it wasn’t always like that. The black family survived generations of open racism, widespread poverty, and slavery. They lived through segregation and violence. And strong family bonds used to be the norm.

Between 1890 and 1950, the marriage rate was much higher among black women than white women. A fraction of black children lived in homes without their fathers.

But everything changed with the expansion of the welfare state. This is how the US government destroyed black families.

In this video I wanted to talk about just how much African Americans not only contributed but literally invent music styles that have come to be known as White American. From Elvis & Frank Sinatra to Scott Joplin, Ella Fitzgerald & Little Richard, Black contributions to American Music & Culture continue to be underappreciated or underrepresented in American history or culture. I also wanted to take the time to talk about WHY i think white Americans end up taking from or appropriating black culture & the American History that led to it.

In this episode, we take a look at the incredible civilization of ancient Nubia and the powerful political entity known as the Kingdom of Kush. For a time developing side-by-side with Egypt, Kush developed into a cultural and political powerhouse of its own, one that also influenced events in the ancient Near East as well as those of the Roman Empire. It's an important and fascinating story of one of Africa's great kingdoms/empires that you won't want to miss!
